Premise
The vampire at the center of this series treats men as a food supply: she toys with them, feeds and leaves. The man she meets is nobody special, just someone helping out a stranger. What neither of them realizes is that he is exactly what she craves, and exactly what she has decided she cannot have.
The appeal
That last idea is the whole engine. A predator who restrains herself is a more interesting character than one who simply takes, and the synopsis sets up a push and pull between hunger and self-denial. It is classic vampire romance territory, and it translates well to a short format because the tension is built into the premise rather than dependent on a large cast.
The male lead being an everyman is a sensible choice too. He has no power in this world except that she wants him, which leaves the vampire firmly in control of the story.
Heat and tone
We rate Vampire’s Lust 5 out of 5 for explicitness on our scale, so the restraint in the premise does not carry over to the locked episodes. It sits in the Fantasy tag, a small but consistently high-rated part of the catalogue. If you have only seen Candy’s family dramas, this is a good way to find out whether the supernatural side suits you.

Dragon Queen’s Dark Desire is the obvious companion, another Fantasy original rated 5 out of 5 with a very different creature at its center. Verdict
Vampire’s Lust has one of the sharper character hooks on Candy: a hunter who wants the one man she refuses to hunt. It is simple, well suited to five episodes and at the top of our explicitness scale. Among the fantasy series, it is one we would try early.
