The idea
Every weekday morning the husbands on Candy Lane drive off to work, and that is when the plumber gets busy with his other job. Each house on the street has its own woman waiting for him, each with her own look, appetite and set of rules. On the street he is an open secret: everybody knows, and nobody says anything.
It is a knowingly retro premise, straight out of old-school adult comedy, and the street name winking at the platform makes clear the series is not taking itself too seriously.
What makes it different
Most Candy five-parters are about one relationship. This one is about a neighborhood. The synopsis promises variety rather than a single love interest, which suggests a round of visits instead of one affair building over five episodes.
