The setup
Jake has no money and a scholarship he is about to lose, because he is failing. His glamorous professor offers him an alternative route to a passing grade. Now he is torn between a girlfriend who seems ideal and a teacher who has become obsessed with him, and a single wrong step could wreck everything he has.
For a Candy five-parter, that is a busy synopsis. There are three characters, a clear pressure point and real consequences if things go wrong.
Stakes, finally
Most short series run on attraction alone. My Hot Professor adds leverage: Jake needs the grade, the scholarship depends on it, and the professor holds the power. That is the difference between a flirtation and a dilemma, and it gives the story somewhere to go.
The obsession angle adds a second layer. The professor is not just offering a deal; she wants him, and the synopsis frames her as a threat to his relationship as much as a temptation. With a girlfriend in the picture, the “blow up his whole life” line promises some fallout.

The teacher-student power imbalance is the premise, and some viewers will find it uncomfortable rather than exciting. The girlfriend is also described only as “perfect”, which risks making her a plot device rather than a character. And five episodes is not much room to pay off a setup with this many moving parts.
