What happens
She is a bratty social media influencer; he is the stepbrother she dismisses as pathetic. The balance shifts when she needs someone to operate the camera for her, and the synopsis ends on a pointed note: whatever she is filming, she is not pretending. That is all the setup Candy gives, but it is a tidy reversal. The person she looks down on becomes the one she depends on.
Why the premise lands
Most stepsister stories on Candy run on proximity: a shared house, a trip, a room. This one runs on attitude. The hook is her contempt and the reversal it sets up, which gives the series a small arc even within five episodes. The influencer angle is also a modern touch, and the camera gives the story a reason for her to invite him in rather than the other way round.

My Stepsister Thinks I’m Pathetic earns its spot with a premise that has a little bite. The insult in the title is the setup and the camera is the payoff, and that makes it more memorable than the average stepsister short. It is a single idea stretched across five episodes, but it is a good idea, sensibly priced and easy to sample through the free episodes.
