The premise
Evangelina has only just been introduced to Chad, the younger brother of her stepfather, and he is trouble in the most attractive way. Together they board a yacht for a party that the synopsis describes as wild, with swimwear that barely stays on and no sign of the fun stopping.
Two things define it. The relationship is a step-family connection at one remove: Chad is not her stepbrother or stepfather but her stepdad’s sibling, which keeps the Taboo tag light. And the setting is a party on the water, which makes this more of a vacation fantasy than a household drama.
Strengths and weak spots
- Setting first. A yacht party is a change of scene from the living rooms and bedrooms most taboo series use, and it suits a sunny, carefree tone.
