The premise
It is the final day of a couple’s island vacation when a magnetic stranger walks into their marriage and refuses to follow any of the usual rules. A towel slips, somebody makes a dare, and before long all three are caught in a game that none of them can walk away from, one where every glance is a trap.
What it has going for it
The last-day framing is a smart touch. There is a clock on the story from the start, and a vacation about to end gives everyone a reason to take risks they would not take at home. The stranger, meanwhile, is set up as the disruptive force, which puts the married couple on the defensive and gives the series a clear shape: an outsider testing a relationship.
The title promises a swap, and the synopsis promises a game with traps. That is more intrigue than most couple-plus-one premises bother with, even if the details stay vague.
What is less clear
Candy tags the series Sister, Taboo and Wife. The Wife tag fits the synopsis neatly; the Sister tag suggests a family connection that the official description never mentions. Take it as a hint, not a fact, until you have seen the free episodes. The synopsis is also light on who the stranger is, so a lot rests on how well the three characters are drawn.

Trapped Desires: Island Swap has a better frame than most: a deadline, a dare and a stranger who changes the rules. The tags and the synopsis do not quite agree, and it has no rating from us yet, so the free episodes matter more than usual. If they hook you, 36 tokens is a low price for the rest of the game.
