What it is about
Brooke is a wrestler, and one vicious bout comes close to finishing her career. The series follows her fight to return, and on the way back she finds herself drawn to her opponent, the woman on the other side of the ring. It is attraction she did not expect and cannot put aside.
Why it is different
Almost everything about this premise is unusual for Candy. The lead is a woman with a goal of her own, the setting is a sport rather than a house or an office, and the central pairing is between two women. The enemies-to-lovers structure is a proven one, and a comeback story gives it stakes that most short series do not have: Brooke has something to lose besides a secret.
It is also one of the few series that runs past five episodes. At six, it has a little more room than the standard format to get from rivalry to something else.
